What made you decide to study in the Czech Republic/ Brno/ Mendelu?
Besides the fact that Czech Republic is in the heart of Europe and Brno being the center of connection to other cities in the neighboring countries. Mendel offered me the programme that I wished to do back in my country but this time with more exposure.
Did your studies meet your expectations? How did you find the study programme, instructors, university facilities? Were there any differences from studying in your country?
Yes they even by far surpassed my expectations as the studies were conducted in a very conducive environment for both winter and summer seasons with the provision of heating air conditioning respectively. Mendel lecturers are awesomely cheerful which makes them approachable for both educational or personal guidance and counselling. The main difference from studying in my country is the exposure to various systems.
What was the biggest surprise with regard to studying or living in Brno?
The students discounts for food, transport, etc and the way Brno is full of students from all over the world. In addition, the equal opportunities offered to students regardless of their country of origin to the ERASMUS exchange programs and the internship sponsored programs or any other university program. Not forgetting the nightlife in Brno being awesome.
What was your most memorable experience or what did you enjoy most as a student in Brno/MENDELU?
I had a wonderful time throughout my study period but just to mention one event that I may refer to is when we had a trip to Prague to meet up with the Ministry of Interior. It was such a memorable event especially for us foreigners we got the chance to understand most of the Czech Laws and future plans to help developing countries.
How do you think your time in the Czech Republic/Brno/MENDELU has helped your studies and/or your career?
My time at Mendel/Brno has helped me alot especially with multiculturalism now I can work with people of all races, gender and ethnicity.
Do you have any advice for students thinking about studying in Brno/MENDELU? Or would you like to share anything else?
