Public Finance and Economics
deadline
Public or private, that is the question
A master’s degree in Public Finance and Economics does not direct you towards the public sector exclusively. More than that, you will get the grasp of the differences between the public and private sectors, as well as their relationship, hence finding employment in any sector – public, private, non-profit, non-governmental.
You will understand the mechanism of public finance and funds and how to analyse and use their potential in the best way, predict their development, and more. You will know how to redistribute resources in the most efficient way, issue public policies,
and learn all about both public revenues and expenditures.
International environment and recognition
The programme works in tandem with other European universities – University of Tampere (Finland), University of Rennes 1 (France), University of Piemonte Orientale (Italy), and University of Minho (Portugal). Moreover, the programme is recognised
By EAPAA (European Association for Public Administration Accreditation).
Graduate profile: Analyse, count, manage
Graduating from Public Finance and Economics, the world is your playground. You will be able to pursue a managerial-level job in regional or municipal bodies, government agencies, or European institutions, managing, consulting, or analysing fields
of employment, security, social services, sports, housing, infrastructure, or public administration – all of those fields need skilled economists who know their stuff.
The public sector is not exactly for you? Never mind, go and pursue private companies to become their next economist, project manager, PR expert, fundraiser, or director.
Interested in economics-related research? You can always broaden your academic horizons and study a doctoral programme at Masaryk.
