Automotive Electronics and Electromobility
deadline
Are you interested in cars? Do you want to work in a field that is currently attracting the attention of the whole world as its direction towards advanced technologies such as electromobility, autonomous driving or communication in high mobility systems makes it one of the most attractive industries? If at the same time you want to continue the tradition of the automotive industry in the Czech Republic and be a sought-after expert in Czech, foreign and renowned multinational companies active in the automotive industry then this field of study is just for you.
The comprehensive concept of the study program covering all components of automotive electronics will prepare you for creative work in the field of research, development, design, construction, operation and verification of the operation of electronics for automotive applications, but also for work in management and managerial functions, in commercial companies or organizations whose activities are related to automotive electronics.
Teaching in English will prepare you to work in foreign and international companies, and if you want to further deepen or expand your specialization, you can continue your PhD studies anywhere in the world.
The aim of the study of the follow-up master's program "Automotive Electronics and Electromobility" is to acquire and significantly expand theoretical and practical knowledge in a wide field of automotive electronics, including communication, control and power supply systems or autonomous control systems and electric drives. The focus and comprehensive concept of this study program aims to prepare graduates for creative work, especially in research, development, design, construction, operation and verification of electronics for automotive applications, but also for work in management and managerial positions in companies or organizations, whose activities are related to automotive electronics. Moreover, providing a quality basis for follow-up doctoral studies at any university is another goal. Teaching is therefore fully provided in English.
The graduate is able to creatively apply new knowledge, use modern development tools, testing and verification procedures and is able to design partial components of automotive electronics, which can interconnect by system solutions. The graduate is able to combine knowledge of communication systems (V2X, satellite), control systems (sensors, actuators, automotive networks) with autonomous driving algorithms, or power systems (motors, batteries) and can evaluate the reliability of particular components and the entire system. The above-mentioned areas can optionally be extended to include cyber security, multimedia technology, lighting technology, vehicle charging infrastructure and a number of other fields. The graduate will gain experience with practice in companies focused on the development and production of automotive electronics.
Graduate profile:
The scope and comprehensive concept of automotive electronics in this study program is unique and offers its graduates a wide range of jobs in a highly promising field of modern automotive technology, including autonomous vehicle control, communication with satellite and mobile networks, vehicle control systems, modern technologies implemented in batteries and powertrains, and others, with respect to the current high demands on the environment.Graduates of the master's degree program "Automotive Electronics and Electromobility" are ready to define and creatively solve theoretical and practical problems in the field, plan engineering activities of creative nature, propose procedures for their implementation, and independently solve complex engineering tasks. Therefore, graduates will find employment mainly in research, development, design, construction, operation and testing of automotive electronics in specialized companies and organizations. However, the comprehensive concept and wide scope of the study program also offers graduates employment in related areas of electronics (communications, electric drives, control systems, sensors, etc.) and also provides a good basis for management and managerial functions in the field. Teaching in English prepares graduates to work in foreign and international companies.
Admission requirements:
How to apply
The procedures begin with the submission of an electronic application form. After being filled in, the document has to be printed, signed, and sent out by post (preferably a registered postal service) to the FEEC BUT, including the required attachments.
An application will be considered only if the appropriate charge of EUR 30 has been paid.
When applying, proceed as follows:
Choose a study programme.
Fill in the application form.
Pay the charge of EUR 30 (you will receive the details after submitting the application) and send out the signed form, together with all relevant supplementary items, to the FEEC.
The application and charge payment deadline for the academic year is March 31; the supplementary documents to accompany the application form are specified below.
What are the required documents?
A certified copy of an original degree certificate or an equivalent item of evidence issued by a foreign higher education institution to confirm the completion of studies (a copy of the applicant’s BSc. or BEng. certificate)
A letter validating the recognition of foreign higher education.
These records (namely, their official hard copies) are obtainable from the competent regional authority and must be delivered to the FEEC in Czech or English, not later than April 15.
Where the applicant cannot provide a certificate of recognition, they are allowed to submit, before or on April 15, and at the fee of CZK 750, a request for the assessment of education compatibility.
If, for any reason, the documents specified above are not deliverable to the FEEC within the deadline, the applicant may seek an extension, via a well-substantiated request to be submitted before or on April 15.
You will find complete information about admission here.
