Preparation of a graduated architect to become a creative expert in the whole complex of his profession, who is able to cope with design and management tasks in the process of capital construction. He shall also be qualified for activities in state administration. It is strictly required that the acquired education and knowledge is made use of according to the principles of sustainable development and optimum formation of the environment.
Graduate profile:
The graduate will gain the knowledge necessary for the activities of an authorized architect and urban planner, civil servant in areas related to construction activities in the area, development and planning of cities and municipalities (or for other professionally related activities).
The master studies graduate -engineer architect (Ing.arch.), is trained to become a creative expert in the whole complex of his/her profession who can cope with design and management tasks in the process of capital construction. The engineer architect shall be qualified for activities in state administration as well. The goal of the study programme is also to provide such a degree of qualification that the graduate can prove the requested knowledge and skills at the authorisation process when entering the Czech Chamber of Architects.

All applicants (except FA BUT bachelor graduates) shall present a proof of bachelor degree.
Foreign applicants (except applicants from countries with international agreement*) *Slovak Republic, Republic of Poland, Republic of Slovenia, Hungary and Federal Republic of Germany must present an officially certified document of applicant’s qualification(diploma and diploma supplement) and the proof of recognition of acquired qualification in the Czech Republic. The higher-education qualification is recognized upon request and the presented graduation certificates by any public university providing similar study programme.Or the applicant may ask for the assessment of foreign education within the admission procedure. The foreign applicants must present the B2 English language certificate (TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) min. 550 (paper-based test) or 213 (computer-based) or 80 (internet-based), IELTS min. 6, FCE min. C) from any accredited institution. Applicants who studied the bachelor degree in English are exempt from this requirement.
All applicants shall present a portfolio with school work and extracurricular activities. The applicant’s CV is a part of the portfolio. The format of the portfolio of max A3, max. 50 pages. Any previous internships in architectural offices may be documented in the portfolio.
When paying the application fee, the applicant is required to fill in the variable code and specific code with respect to information provided in the e-application. Applicants will be registered only after the fee is paid and received by the BUT bank account. The application fee is non-refundable. Applicant’s health certificate and CV are not required.
